KUALA LUMPUR: Tex Cycle Technology (M) Bhd, via its wholly owned unit Tex Cycle (P2) Sdn Bhd, has entered into a strategic collaboration agreement with Barium Selat Technologies Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Barium Selat Sdn Bhd, to jointly explore opportunities in the oil and gas sector and strengthen their waste management capabilities.

In a statement, the waste management and recycling solutions provider said the technical collaboration aims to leverage the operational strengths, technical expertise, and industry networks of both parties.

Through this partnership, Tex Cycle and Barium Selat will jointly enhance waste recovery and treatment processes, develop tailored industry solutions, and broaden their service offerings across sectors such as oil and gas, energy, and industrial manufacturing.

The collaboration allows Tex Cycle to tap into Barium Selat’s upstream oil and gas expertise, including drilling lubricants and advanced chemicals. In return, Barium Selat gains access to Tex Cycle’s licensed recovery facilities and waste processing capabilities.

Tex Cycle group chief executive officer Gary Dass Anthony Francis, said the partnership with Barium Selat opens up new pathways for technical innovation and business growth.

“By combining our waste management expertise with Barium’s strong presence in the upstream oil and gas space, we are well-positioned to deliver integrated and sustainable solutions.

“This collaboration not only strengthens our environmental offerings, but also allows us to better support evolving industrial needs across Malaysia,” he said.

Meanwhile, Barium Selat group chief operating officer Navinkumar Maruthamuthu said: “This collaboration with Tex Cycle is a strategic step in aligning our upstream chemical and advanced material innovations with responsible waste management and recovery capabilities.”
