TAS Offshore bags RM38mil tugboat orders


PETALING JAYA: TAS Offshore Bhd has secured shipbuilding contracts for six tugboats, valued at approximately RM38mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the shipbuilding company said the contracts were signed with two new customers from Indonesia.

“These vessels are expected to be delivered during financial year 2026 (FY26).”

TAS Offshore said the revenue generated from these contracts is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of TAS Group for FY26 ending May 31, 2026.

For the third quarter ended Feb 28, 2025, TAS Offshore reported a net profit of RM205,000, down from RM6.06mil in the same period last year.

Revenue dropped to RM19.67mil from RM34.55mil a year earlier.
