KUALA LUMPUR: AmBank Group and Ramssol Group Bhd
have launched the Pay Day Now platform, an earned wage access (EWA) solution that allows employees to access part of their earned wages before payday.
The platform, developed by Ramssol's indirect wholly owned subsidiary, RAMS Fintech Sdn Bhd, enables employees to access up to 25% of their earned wages weekly, helping them manage short-term cash flow needs while reducing reliance on high-cost borrowing.
The solution is designed for organisations of all sizes, including public sector agencies, small and medium enterprises, large corporates and public-listed companies.
To support the solution, RAMS Fintech has integrated the platform with AmBank's cash management solutions to enable secure wage disbursements through Malaysia's real-time payment infrastructure.
In a statement, AmBank managing director of business banking Christopher Yap said the collaboration reflects the bank's commitment to delivering innovative solutions that address customers' evolving needs.
“We are pleased to strengthen our collaboration with Ramssol in delivering a solution that empowers employees with greater financial flexibility while helping businesses foster financial well-being and build more sustainable workplaces,” he added.
Meanwhile, Ramssol group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Ts. Cllement Tan said Pay Day Now is the first solution of its kind in Malaysia and is designed to give employees greater control over their earned income while helping employers attract, engage and retain talent.
According to the companies, Malaysia's employed workforce reached 16.7 million in the first quarter of 2026. The country also maintained a low unemployment rate of 2.9% and a labour force participation rate of 70.9%, reflecting a strong and active workforce.
