MN Holdings bags RM29.7mil solar interconnection contracts in Kedah

PETALING JAYA: MN Holdings Bhd has secured two contracts from Sunview Group Bhd for solar interconnection projects in Kedah, worth RM29.7mil.

In a statement, MN Holdings said its wholly-owned subsidiary, MN Power Transmission Sdn Bhd, has been appointed as the interconnection facilities contractor for two 29.99 megawatt alternating current solar power plant projects in Kuala Muda, Kedah.

“The scope includes the establishment of new interconnection facilities and the extension of two 132 kilovolt bays at the existing transmission main intake Aman Jaya.”

MN Holdings said the contracts will commence upon issuance of the notice to proceed (NTP) from Sunview, with a targeted completion period of 10 months from NTP date.

MN Holdings executive director Datuk Dang Siong Diang said the projects reinforce the company’s strong support for Malaysia’s green energy agenda and highlight our continued involvement in the nation’s shift toward cleaner, renewable sources of power.

“By delivering essential interconnection works, we are enabling the integration of large-scale solar energy into the national grid, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient power ecosystem."

The latest contracts underscore MN Holdings growing participation in Malaysia’s Large Scale Solar programme and support the broader National Energy Transition Roadmap.
