PPB secures two offshore contracts

PPB said the contract value cannot be determined at this stage.

KUALA LUMPUR: Perdana Petroleum Bhd’s (PPB) wholly owned subsidiary, Perdana Nautika Sdn Bhd (PNSB), has secured two work orders from PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd to supply two anchor handling tug and supply (AHTS) vessels.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, PPB said PNSB will supply the vessels, along with crew and equipment, to provide continuous 24-hour services, including supporting drilling rigs, offshore installations, derrick barges, as well as towing and anchor handling operations.

“The contracts are expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the PPB Group for the financial years ending Dec 31, 2026 and 2027, excluding any extension period. They will not have any effect on the share capital or shareholding structure of PPB,” it said.

PPB said the contract value cannot be determined at this stage, as it will depend on work orders issued by the charterer over the contract duration.

The contract period for the first AHTS vessel is 303 days, with an option to extend by a further 40 days, while the second vessel is for 224 days, also with an option for a 40-day extension.

The contracts are set to commence upon the issuance of the vessels’ on-hire certificates. — Bernama
