Auditors flag Rimbunan Sawit


PETALING JAYA: Rimbunan Sawit Bhd has had an external auditor issue a statement of material uncertainty relating to going concern in regards to financial concerns for its financial year ended Dec 31, 2025.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the plantation company said the auditor, Messrs Crowe Malaysia PLT, had flagged Note 4 in its financial statements which stated its current liabilities exceeded its current assets by RM119.9mil.

“This condition, along with other matters as set forth in Note 4, indicate that a material uncertainty exists that may cast significant doubt on the company’s ability to continue as a going concern. Our opinion is not modified in respect of this matter,” the auditor said.

They also flagged Rimbunan’s oil palm plantation assets, which had a carrying amount of RM534.1mil as at Dec 31, 2025, with no impairment recognised during the year.
