Hibiscus Petroleum declares third interim dividend of 2c/share

KUALA LUMPUR: Hibiscus Petroleum Bhd has announced a third single-tier interim dividend of two sen per share for the financial year ending June 30, 2025, with entitlement date on April 9, 2025 and payable on May 2, 2025.

The group said the dividend was declared in tandem with a positive development relating to an extension of an expiration date of one of its production sharing contracts.

"An announcement providing further details in relation to this extension will be made once clearance has been obtained from the relevant authorities," it said in a bourse filing.

For the current financial year, Hibiscus Petroleum has so far declared a total dividend of seven sen per share, which represents a yield of 5.1% based on the closing price of RM1.37 on March 12, 2025.

It said it is on track to deliver the minimum dividend guidance of between eight to 10 sen (based on a Brent oil price of US$70/barrel to US$80/barrel) for FY25.
