Sunway appoints Wahid Omar as independent non-executive director


KUALA LUMPUR: Conglomerate Sunway Bhd has appointed Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar as its independent and non-executive director with immediate effect. 

Sunway said Abdul Wahid, 62, is currently Cypark Resources Bhd and IOI Corporation Bhd independent non-executive chairman. 

"He completed his five-year tenure as chairman of Bursa Malaysia Bhd on April 30, 2025,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

At the closing bell, Sunway rose eight sen or 1.53 per cent to RM5.30 on Bursa Malaysia. - Bernama
