MAG inks SPA for ownership of MASwings

MAG said the transfer is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), the parent company of MASwings, has signed a sale and purchase agreement with the Sarawak government, formalising the transfer of MASwings’ ownership.

This follows the memorandum of understanding signed with the Sarawak Government and Hornbill Skyways on Oct 27, 2023.

“The transfer is expected to be completed by the end of the year, with MAG working closely with all stakeholders, including shareholder Khazanah Nasional Bhd, to ensure a seamless transition and compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.

“Throughout this transition period, MASwings will continue operating as usual under the purview of MAG, with no disruptions to flight schedules, ensuring uninterrupted air services for the communities that rely on them,” said MAG in a statement.
