Anuar Ahmad retires as PetDag chairman

PETALING JAYA: Petronas Dagangan Bhd (PetDag) has announced that its chairman, Datuk Anuar Ahmad, has retired.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said Anuar retired at the conclusion of the 44th AGM, which was held today, in accordance with Article 107 of the company's constitution.

According to PetDag’s annual report, Anuar (72) has been appointed chairman of the company since January 2022.

Prior to this, he has also served as (among others) the director of Chemical Company of Malaysia Bhd (CCM); chairman of finance and investment committee of CCM; chairman of Petronas Gas Bhd and director of PETRONAS; executive vice president of gas and power business of PETRONAS; and vice president of oil business of PETRONAS (among other positions).

Anuar has also had various senior managerial positions within PETRONAS Group, was the independent non-executive chairman of Nylex (Malaysia) Bhd and member of the audit committee for Nylex.
