The skyscraper era in Malaysia began in 1978 with the construction of its first skyscraper, Menara Bumiputera (today known as Menara Bank Muamalat), in Kuala Lumpur. Since then, the city has evolved into a vibrant metropolis renowned for its striking high-rise buildings.
