IATA: Global passenger demand up 8.6% in August


KUALA LUMPUR: Total global passenger demand, measured in revenue passenger kilometres (RPK), increased by 8.6 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y) in August 2024 compared to August 2023, according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

In a statement today, it said that the total capacity, measured in available seat kilometres (ASK), rose by 6.5 per cent y-o-y.
