PETALING JAYA: IHH Healthcare Bhd
has appointed Tan Sri Dr Nik Norzrul Thani N. Hassan Thani as its chairman.
Nik Norzrul, 63, succeeds Tan Sri Mohammed Azlan Hashim who retired last month.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, IHH said Nik Norzrul began his legal career with an international law firm, Baker & McKenzie, Singapore.
“In 2017, he was appointed Chairman of the Malaysia-Singapore Business Council by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia.
“He is currently a consultant at Malaysia’s largest law firm (which is also a member of KPMGs Global Legal Services network), Zaid Ibrahim & Co.”
IHH said Nik Norzrul also oversees debt and corporate restructuring transactions and the issuance of private debt securities, encompassing Islamic financial instruments for both domestic and international clients.
