Parkson focusing on productivity

PETALING JAYA: Parkson Holdings Bhd will continue to focus on increasing its stores productivity as well as implementing cost improvement strategies moving forward.

It, however, expects its retailing operations to experience low traffic flow in the third quarter due to the absence of major festivities.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group posted a net profit of RM19.34mil or earnings per share (EPS) of 1.68 sen for the second quarter ended June 30, as revenue rose 16% year-on-year to RM832mil due to the uptick in consumer spending in Malaysia.
