Opcom external auditor resigns

PETALING JAYA: Opcom Holdings Bhd’s external auditor, Messrs Baker Tilly Monteiro Heng Plt, has sent in its notice of resignation as the auditors of Opcom effective immediately.

In a filling with Bursa Malaysia, the cable manufacturer noted the resignation was due to a disagreement regarding the fees associated with conducting the audit.

“This disagreement arises from expanded operations and consequently an increase in audit fees,” it noted.

Opcom added it was in the midst of appointing new auditors and would make further announcements in due course.
