Opcom auditor resigns after audit fee disagreement


KUALA LUMPUR: The external auditor of Opcom Holdings Bhd, Messrs Baker Tilly Monteiro Heng PLT (Baker Tilly) has resigned due to a disagreement on audit fees.

“The resignation is due to a disagreement regarding the fees associated with conducting the audit. This disagreement arises from expanded operations and consequently an increase in audit fees,” the fiber optic manufacturer said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

The company is in the midst of appointing new auditors pursuant to Section 271(2)(b) of the Companies Act 2016.

Opcom said it is not aware of any other matters that need to be brought to the attention of its shareholders.
