THE wage quandary that Malaysia is facing has come to the forefront again after Economic Affairs Minister Rafizi Ramli dropped hints about a possible wage model of mandatory increments for workers.

Acknowledging that the unveiling of such a proposal could be “unpopular”, Rafizi said his ministry would be presenting a progressive wage model (PWM) to the government next month.
