KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened higher against the weakening greenback ahead of the release of the United States (US) core personal consumption expenditure (core PCE) inflation data later today, said an analyst.
At 9 am, the local note strengthened to 4.4120/4170 versus the US dollar compared with Thursday's closing rate of 4.4185/4225.
