ANY country with a score of below 50 in the Corruption Perception Index (CPI) has “serious corruption problems”, according to Trans-parency International (TI).
Malaysia, unfortunately, falls into that category. Its CPI score has consistently deteriorated in recent years, down from 53 in 2019 to 48 in 2021.
