Proposed Twitter buyout gets backing

NEW YORK: Two prominent shareholder advisory firms are urging Twitter Inc shareholders to support a proposed takeover by Elon Musk, despite efforts by the world’s richest man to back out of the deal.

Institutional Shareholder Services Inc (ISS) and Glass Lewis and Co both issued reports on Tuesday urging shareholders to vote for the deal.
