Muhibbah wins RM120mil Penang LRT job


PETALING JAYA: Logistics solution provider Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd has accepted a RM120mil contract from Gamuda Industrial Building System Sdn Bhd (GIBS) for works related to the Penang light rail transit (LRT) Mutiara Line project.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the company said the contract involves the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of noise barriers and enclosures for Package CMC1, Sub-Package CNB1 of the project.

The project is expected to contribute positively to earnings and net assets over the contract period, with no impact on the group’s share capital.

The project is scheduled to commence this month and reach completion by the third quarter of 2030.
