PETALING JAYA: Surveyor Firdaus Musa has been appointed as the new president for the Malaysian chapter of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI).
Firdaus, who was previously the honorary treasurer of FIABCI Malaysia, will be succeeding property market veteran Datuk Seri Koe Peng Kang.
Koe, who has been the FIABCI Malaysia president since August 2020, will however remain as the vice-president of FIABCI Asia-Pacific.
Firdaus is the founder and group managing director of Firdaus and Associates, which is a registered valuation, real estate agency and property management firm.
According to the firm’s website, Firdaus holds an honours degree in Urban Real Estate Management from Kingston University, London.
Having gathered experience in property consultancy practice in Knight Frank in the early 1990s, he established Firdaus and Associates in 1998 as a small niche outfit that had grown into a multi-faceted property consulting services, which currently has about 600 employees.
Firdaus is also a fellow of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia and a professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, among others.
