KUALA LUMPUR: HB Global
Ltd will be unable to issue its annual report, comprising the annual audited financial statements and the auditors’ and directors’ reports for the financial year ended June 30, 2026 (FY2026), by Oct 30, 2026.
The deadline is prescribed under Paragraph 9.23(1) of Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd’s Main Market Listing Requirements (MMLR).
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said the anticipated delay was mainly due to UHY Malaysia PLT withdrawing as its auditor for the financial period ended June 30, 2026, which affected the completion of the audit and finalisation of the annual report.
It added that the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore (ACRA) had rejected its appeal on Oct 27, 2026, against the earlier rejection of its application to change its financial year-end from June 30, 2026, to Nov 30, 2026.
Following the decision, HB Global remains subject to the Oct 30, 2026 deadline to issue its annual report.
Under Paragraph 9.28(5) of the MMLR, if the company fails to issue its 2026 annual report within five market days after the reporting deadline expires, it will be subject to suspension.
Bursa Malaysia shall suspend trading in the company's securities on the next market day after the suspension deadline, in addition to any enforcement action it may take.
HLB Global said that, as Nov 9, 2026 (Monday) is a public holiday in conjunction with Deepavali, trading in the company’s securities will be suspended from 9 am on Nov 10, 2026 (Tuesday), unless Bursa Malaysia determines otherwise.
The company said it will continue to assess and take the necessary measures to resolve the outstanding audit arrangements and complete its financial reporting obligations.
"The company will also continue to liaise with the relevant professional advisers and take the necessary steps in relation to the appointment of suitable auditors and the completion of the outstanding audit,” it added. - Bernama
