Alam Maritim auditors resign

PETALING JAYA: Alam Maritim Resources Bhd said it has received notice from Messrs Al Jafree Salihin Kuzaimi PLT on their resignation as auditors of the company with effect from March 11.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing, the company said it received the notice from the auditors in writing pursuant to Section 281(2) of the Companies Act 2016

The resignation of Salihin was on a voluntary basis due to the limited number of partners registered with the Audit Oversight Board (AOB) to serve the current public interest entities (PIE) audit clients (currently only three partners registered with AOB) and Salihin’s focus going forward is to serve the large non-PIE clients.
