PETALING JAYA: Zetrix AI Bhd is looking to continue its initiatives in its Zetrix blockchain as well as artificial intelligence technology to drive the group organic growth moving forward.
In addition, it said its partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), which is the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, Zetrix AI said it believes that the push to expand its Zetrix blockchain and AI technology globally will be faster.
Releasing its results for the second quarter (2Q26) ended June today for the financial year ending December (FY26), the group saw net profit rise by 35.2% year-on-year (y-o-y) to RM269.3mil, in line with revenue that increased 38.6% to RM426.7mil.
The pattern was similar for the six months ended June, which saw Zetrix AI posting a bottom line of RM540.6mil, representing a y-o-y surge of 42%, alongside turnover which grew 33.7% to RM540.6mil.
The group attributed the overall stronger y-o-y performance for 2026 so far to contribution from subscriptions and services through its AI platforms; contribution from web3 application service fees on the Zetrix blockchain platform such as the Malaysia Blockchain Infrastructure, ZTrade, ZCert, global voting applications as well as Digital ID registrations and transactions; on top of contribution from the sale of Zetrix layer-1 nodes and tokens.
Compared to the preceding quarter ended March, net profit nudged down marginally from RM271.3mil, even as the top line actually increased by 10.5% from RM386.3mil.
Zetrix AI attributed the same reasons above for the improvement in revenue but added: “However, higher amortisation of development cost impacted the group’s profit after tax which caused a slight decrease.”
The group declared its first dividend for FY26, amounting to 0.25 sen per share.
Looking ahead, it said: “Together with the China Asean AI Lab (the Lab), Zetrix AI will focus on the convergence of Blockchain, AI and Robotics with localisation and customisation of these technologies to suit local market demand worldwide.”
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Zetrix AI said it is cautiously optimistic that the long-term outlook for the group remains positive as it continues to introduce innovative services in Malaysia as well as globally.
