KUALA LUMPUR: Prolintas Infra Business Trust (Prolintas Infra BT) posted a 13.4% increase in net profit to RM8.65mil for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026 (2Q26), from RM7.62mil a year earlier, supported by sustained traffic growth across its highway portfolio.

Revenue was largely flat at RM80.30mil compared with RM80.75mil in the corresponding quarter last year, while earnings per unit rose to 0.79 sen from 0.69 sen.

The trust said toll revenue across its four highways recorded aggregate year-on-year growth of 2.3%.

Its highway portfolio comprises the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway, Guthrie Corridor Expressway, Lebuhraya Kemuning-Shah Alam and Sistem Lingkaran Lebuhraya Kajang.

For the first half of 2026 (1H26), net profit nearly doubled to RM22.04mil from RM11.18mil a year earlier, while revenue edged up to RM160.94mil from RM159.74mil.

Prolintas Infra BT recorded a distributable amount of RM38.7mil for 1H26.

Its trustee-manager, Prolintas Managers Sdn Bhd, declared a first-half distribution of RM35mil, equivalent to 3.18 sen per unit and representing 90% of the trust's distributable amount.

The distribution will be paid on Sept 29 to unitholders registered as at Sept 10.

Prolintas Managers chief executive officer Mohamad Idros Mosin said the performance reflected the strength of the trust’s core highway portfolio, underpinned by sustained traffic demand and prudent financial management.

The trust has declared total distributions of RM177mil since its listing in March 2024.

He added that the Trust remains focused on operational excellence, preserving asset quality and delivering sustainable distributions to unitholders while creating long-term value for unitholders.

Looking ahead, the trustee-manager remains confident in the long-term fundamentals of its assets, supported by continued urbanisation and sustained commuter demand across the Klang Valley.

It said it would continue to focus on improving operational efficiency, maintaining financial discipline and delivering sustainable long-term returns to unitholders.
