Geohan wins RM37mil high-rise job from Chin Hin Property

KUALA LUMPUR: Geohan Corporation Bhd has secured a RM37mil residential development contract from Chin Hin Property (Segambut) Sdn Bhd, lifting its year-to-date contract wins to about RM250mil.

The foundation and geotechnical specialist said its wholly-owned subsidiary Geohan Sdn Bhd received a letter of award from Chin Hin Property (Segambut), a subsidiary of Chin Hin Group Property Bhd.

Under the contract, Geohan will serve as the specialist contractor for earthworks, piling, and sub-structure construction for a high-rise residential development located in Mukim Batu, Kuala Lumpur.

The development comprises two serviced apartment towers of 58 storeys and 55 storeys respectively, with a total of 1,546 units.

Geohan said the works are slated for completion by end-August 2027.

“This award propels Geohan's year-to-date contract wins to approximately RM250mil, moving the group closer to its financial year ending Dec 31, 2026 (FY26) target win of RM550mil,” it said in a statement.

Meanwhile, its total outstanding order book rises to RM457mil.

Its order book is spread across infrastructure, residential and mixed development projects in Peninsular Malaysia, with progressive billings expected to contribute positively to earnings through FY27.

Managing director Lee Kim Seng said the group remained cautious amid prevailing industry headwinds but was encouraged by the contracts secured in recent months and a growing pipeline of potential projects.

“While Geohan remains cautious amid prevailing industry headwinds, the opportunities secured over the past few months, together with a growing pipeline of emerging projects, have strengthened our optimism and confidence in the outlook ahead,” he said.

Separately, Geohan said its second-quarter revenue rose 17.7% quarter-on-quarter to a record RM121.8mil.

For the six months ended June 30, 2026, the group recorded revenue of RM225.4mil and profit after tax of RM500,000 amid higher building material costs arising from heightened geopolitical tensions.

Geohan said there was no year-on-year comparison as the group was listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia in December 2025.
