Boustead appoints former minister Mohd Redzuan to the board


PETALING JAYA: Boustead Holdings Bhd has appointed Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof as the group’s new independent non-executive chairman.

The appointment of Mohd Redzuan, who served as Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Co-operatives from 2018 to 2020 and then Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Special Functions) from 2020 to 2021, to Boustead’s board took effect yesterday.

Mohd Redzuan, 64, holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom.

He began his illustrious career as an engineer with ESSO Malaysia Sdn Bhd and later served in Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd.

He continued to carve his career in the corporate sector by holding various key positions including executive director of Swiber Marine (M) Sdn Bhd as well as country representative for Swiber Holdings Ltd, Singapore; and CEO of Module Tech Sdn Bhd.

Boustead’s shares closed 1.5 sen higher at 54.5 sen yesterday.
