Kelington secures RM110mil UHP contract in Singapore

KUALA LUMPUR: Kelington Group Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Kelington Engineering (S) Pte Ltd has secured a contract worth RM110mil in Singapore to provide Ultra High Purity (UHP) solutions for a wafer production facility in Singapore.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Kelington said the contract was from the customer who is a global leader in engineering and project management of high-technology facilities to undertake the gas system distribution works for one of the technology leaders in silicon wafer manufacturer’s new manufacturing facility in Singapore.

“The contract value is worth approximately RM110mil commencing immediately from December 2021 and expected to be completed by May 2023,” Kelington said.

The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of Kelington for the financial years ending Dec 31, 2022 and 2023.

On top of this RM110mil contract win, Kelington has also secured several other UHP contracts in Singapore totaling RM66.3mil over the past few weeks alone.

This brings the total value of new contracts secured in recent weeks to RM176.3mil.

These contracts are for works to be undertaken for different end customers at some of the most advanced semiconductor facilities in Singapore.

The cumulative value of new contracts clinched this year has reached an all-time high of RM1.184bil, lifting the group’s current outstanding orderbook to RM1.225bil.
