MAHB passenger traffic down in June

MAHB said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia that its total network of airports, including the Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport in Turkey, registered 954,000 passengers, a 92.1% decline as compared to 12.14 million passengers in June last year.

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd’s (MAHB) is still recording a monthly decline in passenger movements by more than 90% year-on-year (y-o-y) but the group said it is starting to see signs of revival in air travel.

For the first nine days of July itself, the 39 airports managed by MAHB in Malaysia recorded an average of 37,000 passengers daily.
