PETALING JAYA: A sharp V-shaped recovery for the global air sector is unlikely given the severity of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic though a U-shaped recovery with domestic travel returning faster than international may be possible.

But a lot depends on how fast the pandemic can be contained and how fast governments react across the globe to open their borders and airspace.
