Perdana Petroleum orders two AHTS vessels for RM136mil


The company said said the construction of the vessels will be funded through a combination of internal funds and bank borrowings.

PETALING JAYA: Perdana Petroleum Bhd has entered into shipbuilding contracts with Aulong Shipbuilding Co Ltd, China for the construction of two anchor handling tug and supply vessels with bollard pull capacity of approximately 60 tonnes each for US$34mil (RM135.82mil).

In a statement, the offshore marine support services provider said the construction of the vessels will be funded through a combination of internal funds and bank borrowings.

“The vessels are expected to be delivered in stages during the third and fourth quarters of financial year 2028 and are intended primarily for deployment within the domestic and regional oil and gas markets.

“The construction of the vessels is expected to contribute positively to the group’s future earnings and operational capabilities upon delivery and successful deployment for chartering operations.”
