PETALING JAYA: Sedania Innovator Bhd returned to profitability for the financial year ended June 30, 2026 (FY2026), driven by strong growth in its sustainable consumer technology segment.

The group’s revenue rose 7% to RM87.76mil from RM81.91mil a year earlier, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) surged 85% to RM9.38mil from RM5.07mil.

Profit after tax stood at RM4.29mil, compared with a loss of RM1.69mil in FY25.

Sedania, in a statement, said consumer technology was the main growth driver, with segment revenue jumping 67% to RM19.94mil, while operating profit more than doubled to RM5.62mil.

The segment gained further momentum in the fourth quarter, with revenue rising 55% quarter-on-quarter to RM8.01mil and more than 160% year-on-year.

Sedania said growth was mainly driven by its fintech business, including its As Sidq and GoHalal Financing Programme.

Meanwhile, sustainable brands remained the group’s largest revenue contributor, generating RM67.11mil in FY26 revenue, broadly stable from RM66.42mil previously.

For FY2027, the group expects sustainable consumer technology to remain its primary growth driver, with plans to expand its technology-enabled and Shariah-compliant offerings while strengthening its Sustainable Brands portfolio.

Founder and managing director Datuk Azrin Mohd Noor said the group’s FY26 results marked a clear shift in its growth trajectory, driven by stronger contributions from consumer technology.

He noted that consumer technology delivered strong full-year growth and accelerated sharply in the fourth quarter, becoming an increasingly meaningful contributor to the group’s earnings.

“As we enter FY27, our priority is to build on this momentum and scale the business with discipline.”
