Straits Inter Logistics to manage terminal

PETALING JAYA: Straits Inter Logistics Bhd has entered an agreement with Labuan Port Authority in relation to its port management services contract for the Labuan Liberty Terminal.

The contract, which had been awarded earlier in January this year, will last for a period of six years and commence from April 1,2020.

In a statement, the group said the services contract will be undertaken by Megah Port Management Sdn Bhd, in which Straits Inter Logistics holds a 51% stake through the recent proposed shares subscription.

The remaining 49% will be held by LPM Holdings Sdn Bhd.

Straits Inter Logistics’ unit, Straits Port Management Sdn Bhd, had on March 3,2020, entered into an agreement with Labuan Port Authority for the operation and facility management of Labuan Liberty Terminal in Labuan Port limits, whereby the authority had appointed the group to undertake port management Services at Labuan Port.
