MaGIC appoints Abdul Rahman as new chairman


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Global Innovation  and  Creativity Centre (MaGIC), an agency under the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development  (MED) today announced the appointment of Datuk Abdul Rahman Datuk Mohd Hashim as chairman.

The appointment is subjected to Companies Commission of Malaysia confirmation, it said in a statement.  

Abdul Rahman started his career in 1983 as a legal officer at Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) before joining a leading law firm in Kuala Lumpur as a legal assistant before setting up his own practice in September 1988 to date.  

He currently serves as a principal partner of Messrs. Rahman Hashim  and  Solicitors.

Abdul Rahman holds a law degree from University of Westminster London and was called to the English Bar of the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn London in 1983.

He has been a member of the Malaysian Bar Council since 1984.

In April 2019, MaGIC welcomed Dzuleira Abu Bakar as its new chief executive officer. - Bernama
