KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia International Franchise Sdn Bhd (MyFranchise), the master franchisee of Gloria Jean’s Coffees (GJC), has moved a step further with the opening of a new outlet in Myanmar to expand its international network.

MyFranchise, a subsidiary of Perbadanan Nasional Bhd, has the master franchise rights in Myanmar, including the airport area, for 10 years.

In a statement, MyFranchise said the new GJC outlet located at Junction City Shopping Mall was its third restaurant after the first outlet at Myanmar Plaza opened on March 1, 2016 and the second on Jan 1, 2017, at Yangon International Airport.

“The company is always optimistic of the demand for premium coffee and will open three more outlets this year so that the brand continues to grow rapidly in Myanmar.

“The three outlets will be at Star City and Junction Square, both in Yangon, and The Move, a residential and commercial building in Mandalay,” said Jamil Busrah, chief executive officer of MyFranchise. - Bernama
