Solution Group redesignates Lim Yong Hew to executive chairman


PETALING JAYA: Solution Group Bhd has redesignated its deputy executive chairman, Lim Yong Hew (66) to the position of executive chairman.

Lim, who is the founder of Solution Group, was appointed to the board on May 28, 2005, and was later redesignated as deputy executive chairman on Dec 1, 2024.

Separately, the company said it has redesignated its chairman, Datuk Dr Syed Muhamad Syed Abdul Kadir, to the position of non-executive director.

According to the company’s annual report, Syed Muhamad (79) started his career in 1973 as senior project officer, School of Financial Management at the National Institute of Public Administration (Intan) and held various positions before his final appointment as deputy director (Academic).

Solution Group said Syed Muhamad is also a director of Northport (Malaysia) Bhd, Alam Flora Sdn Bhd and Asia Capital Reinsurance Malaysia.

In addition, he holds directorships in a number of private companies.
