Green Packet inks MoU with Presma to transform Muslim F&B sector

KUALA LUMPUR: Green Packet Bhd has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Persatuan Pengusaha Restoran Muslim Malaysia (Presma) to accelerate the digital transformation of Malaysia’s Muslim food and beverage (F&B) ecosystem.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Green Packet said the collaboration will develop an integrated digital ecosystem for Presma’s network of over 9,000 restaurant operators, aimed at improving efficiency and financial inclusion.

Under the MoU, Green Packet will deploy fintech and digital platform solutions, including payment gateways, white-label e-wallets, point-of-sale (POS) systems and automation tools.

“The MoU aims to establish a strategic collaboration between both organisations to develop an integrated Superapp for the PRESMA ecosystem, while leveraging each party’s strengths to drive digital transformation, enhance operational efficiency, and create sustainable mutual value through innovative technologies and commercial partnerships,” Green Packet said.

The MoU will be valid for one year and may be extended by mutual agreement.

Separately, Green Packet said its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary Kiplepay Sdn Bhd has entered into an MoU with Rural Capital Bhd to explore the development and implementation of a white-label digital wallet solution.

The proposed collaboration will combine Kiplepay’s fintech capabilities with Rural Capital’s reach, with features including payment collection, data analytics, disbursement systems and loyalty programmes.

The MoU will remain in force for two years, unless terminated earlier under its terms.
