MIER hopes Govt addresses pressing issues in 11MP

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER) is hopeful the government will address pressing issues such as the need for strong institutions and good governance, suppressed wages, rising inequality, higher cost of living and rampant corruption in the 11th Malaysia Plan (11MP).

MIER in its first quarter 2015 economic outlook update report said addressing these issues would remove barriers to the people's quest for happiness, especially with declining standards of living and eroding quality of life, as seen recently.
