PETALING JAYA: Tenaga Nasional Bhd’s (TNB) earnings for the third quarter ended May 31 might be affected by the higher-than-expected costs due to the burning of more liquefied natural gas (LNG) and distillates.

CIMB Research said given the higher cost, it expected TNB’s earnings for the third quarter and nine-month period to be below expectations.
