Steel Hawk unit secures PETRONAS deal

PETALING JAYA: Steel Hawk Bhd says its wholly-owned subsidiary, Steel Hawk Engineering Sdn Bhd, has secured a term contract for underwater services from PETRONAS Chemicals Methanol Sdn Bhd.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company noted that the contract will run for three years from Dec 9, 2025, to Dec 8, 2028. The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of Steel Hawk group for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026 (FY26).

“The contract is on a call-out basis (which does not have a fixed contract value), and Steel Hawk was engaged by PETRONAS Chemicals Methanol to provide specified services for the duration of the said contract, as and when such services are required.”

It added that the contract will not have any effect on the share capital and shareholding structure of the company.

“The contract is not expected to have any material effect on the net assets of Steel Hawk and its subsidiaries for FY26.”
