Khalid: No rent-seekers involved in the deal


THE sequence of events leading to the agreement between the Selangor and federal governments to consolidate the water industry in Selangor seems to suggest that Mentri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim was rushing into the deal amidst speculation of him being removed from him position.

Adding to the twist was news of Khalid and Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd coming to an out-of-court settlement with regards to a civil suit on a loan that the Mentri Besar had taken in 2001.
