KUALA LUMPUR: Commerce Dot Com Sdn Bhd (CDC), the solutions provider to the Malaysian government’s electronic procurement (GeP) system “ePerolehan”, aims to increase revenue to RM300 mil a year by 2018.
Chief executive officer Muzafar Kamal Shahaluddin said having established itself as the de facto leader in GeP solutions in Malaysia, the company is embarking on a five-year growth plan to become a global leader in GeP solutions.
Apart from maximising its current revenue contributions, CDC will leverage on its strong domestic positioning and niched capabilities to expand its GeP solutions within the public sector organisation and other procurement categories, he said.
He said given the strong interest by other developing countries in the ePerolehan project, CDC is poised to expand into the international market through potential engagements with other countries for the development and implementation of the GeP initiatives.
He said the company’s future revenue streams will be largely generated from domestic expansion and its foray into the international market for GeP solutions.
“Within the next two years, CDC will undertake all-round improvements in products, people, processes and tools,” he added.
He said for the first half of the financial year ending Dec 31, 2013, the company posted total revenue of RM53.94 mil, a 20.3% increase over the mid-year target of RM44.8mil. “The company has been a consistent outperformer for the past seven years and is confident of exceeding its annual target revenue of RM125.3 mil for the financial year ending Dec 31,” he said.— Bernama
