PETALING JAYA: KJTS Group Bhd
has secured four contracts from subsidiaries of Thailand-listed Central Plaza Hotel Public Company Ltd (Centel) to undertake cooling system retrofit works and provide operation and maintenance (O&M) services as well as chilled water supply to four hotels for 20 years.
Its Thai subsidiary, KJTN Engineering Company Ltd, entered into the agreements with Centel’s wholly owned subsidiaries yesterday, covering Centara Reserve Samui, Centara Hotel Hat Yai, Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket and Centara Karon Resort Phuket.
The retrofit works are expected to begin this month and be completed by February 2027, with the O&M services and chilled water supply scheduled to run from March 2027 until February 2047.
The four agreements carry combined fixed fees of about 393.8 million baht (RM47.8mil) over the 20-year period, excluding monthly variable fees based on the volume of chilled water supplied.
Under the agreements, KJTN Engineering will also fund part or all of the retrofit works.
Its total funding commitment amounts to about 58.1 million baht, with the remaining retrofit costs funded by the respective hotel owners under the three design, build and operate agreements.
