Recently, the Dewan Perniagaan Datuk Dato Malaysia (DPDDM) or Datuk Dato Malaysia Chamber of Commerce (DPDDM) paid a courtesy visit to MAHSA University College in an effort to strengthen strategic relations and explore collaboration opportunities between the business community and higher education institutions.
The meeting, which took place in a professional and friendly atmosphere, served as an important platform for both parties to exchange views, share experiences, and discuss the potential for strategic cooperation that could benefit the fields of education, entrepreneurship, industry, and human capital development in the country.
DPDDM is led by the President, Datuk Dr Nor Hasnal Hashmi, along with the senior leadership team of DPDDM. Meanwhile, MAHSA University College is led by Datuk Dr Shahril Mohamed Haniffa, Group Managing Director of the Group.
Dr Nor Hasnal said that many beneficial matters were discussed between both parties during the meeting.
"Among the matters that were also the focus of discussion are efforts to strengthen the industry and academic network, entrepreneurship development, professional training, career opportunities, talent development, and exposing students to the real business ecosystem," he said.
"DPDDM views collaboration with higher education institutions such as MAHSA University College as an important step in building a stronger bridge between the academic world and the industrial sector.
"In the meeting, DPDDM was also offered a place to bring in 300 students from India to pursue their studies at MAHSA University College. This opportunity is a step for us to continue helping and introducing DPDDM to the world, in line with connecting business, education, and opportunities for the future."
Nor Hasnal added that this courtesy visit also reflects DPDDM's commitment to continue serving as a bridge between the business community, educational institutions, industry, and strategic stakeholders, while expanding a network of cooperation that can positively impact Malaysia's economic and human capital development.

At the same time, he stated that DPDDM is in a strategic position because the council's membership encompasses various industrial sectors, allowing it to become a 'golden bridge' connecting education, business, and entrepreneurial development.
Meanwhile, the Managing Director of the MAHSA University College Group, Dr Shahril, said that his party hopes the collaboration will help produce graduates from MAHSA University College who are not only competent but also aligned with the aspirations of the Madani government, which emphasises the values of humanity, knowledge, and resilience.
