Xinhua to make KL regional HQ

KUALA LUMPUR: China's state media Xinhua News Agency plans to set up its Asean editorial hub in Malaysia this year and a formal announcement will be made in due course, said its Asia-Pacific president and editor-in-chief Ju Mengjun.

“We currently have a bureau in Malaysia and our Asia-Pacific headquarters are located in Hong Kong. With the new Asean hub, we will be able to provide more information and news about Malaysia as well as Asean to the public and investors in China and globally,” he told StarBiz in an interview at the Invest Malaysia 2011 yesterday.
