WTEC proposes RM10.8mil factory acquisition in Semenyih

PETALING JAYA: WTEC Group Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary, WTEC Sdn Bhd, has proposed to purchase a detached factory with office from Athens Park Machineries Sdn Bhd for RM10.8mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, WTEC Group noted the property is located in Semenyih, Selangor.

The deal is part of WTEC’s expansion plan, and it wants to consolidate some of the existing manufacturing operations from four different facilities into one new factory.

This plan is expected to enable more efficient management of its manufacturing operations and quality control, while reducing transportation costs and shortening processing and production lead times.
