At 2.09pm ET, the Dow rose 319.02 points, or 0.9%, to 35,749.44, the S&P 500 lost 5.63 points, or 0.12%, at 4,544.95 and the Nasdaq dropped 109.54 points, or 0.77%, to 14,148.95.
