BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Air quality readings shifted across Brunei by 9am Saturday (Sept 19), with Temburong improving from moderate to good while Belait moved into the moderate range.
The latest readings from the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (JASTRe) showed Brunei-Muara at 58, Belait at 51, Temburong at 40 and Tutong at 53 at 9am.
At 7am, the PSI stood at 57 in Brunei-Muara, 50 in Belait, 53 in Temburong and 34 in Tutong.
The sharpest change was recorded in Tutong, where the PSI rose by 19 points from 34 at 7am to 53 at 9am, shifting from good to moderate air quality.
In contrast, Temburong recorded the biggest improvement, with its PSI falling 13 points from 53 to 40, moving from moderate to good.
Brunei-Muara remained moderate with a slight increase of one point, while Belait also rose by one point to enter the moderate category.
A PSI reading below 50 is classified as Good, while 51-100 is Moderate. Readings of 101-200 are Unhealthy, 201-300 Very Unhealthy, and above 300 Hazardous. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
