BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Brunei Fertiliser Industries (BFI) and Muara Port Company (MPC) have further strengthened their long-standing partnership through an exchange of agreements aimed at enhancing logistics services and terminal operations to support BFI's granular urea export activities.

According to the official media Pelita Brunei on Tuesday (Nov 3), the partnership is expected to extend economic benefits to local companies while contributing to the development of the country's logistics sector capabilities and capacity.

It also supports the development of the country's downstream industrial sector.

BFI's exports to international markets, most of which are shipped through the deep-water Muara Port, must comply with stringent standards set by customers and authorities in importing countries.

These requirements cover quality, cleanliness and biosecurity, with compliance required at every stage of the logistics chain. - Xinhua
